Are You Ready For Alice in Wonderland?

In less than 24 hours, one of my most awaited movies this year is about to open in regular and IMAX theaters around the world. Are you ready for the newest version of Alice in Wonderland?

Last February 25, 2010 the Alice in Wonderland 3D was formally launched on its Royal World Premiere at the Leicester Square Odeon cinema in central London. Movie critics who had watched the movie have mixed reactions, other says its great but some says it is just an “average” kind of movie.

There are countless versions of Alice in Wonderland, there television adaptations in different languages, film adaptations, Broadway performance, video games, comic books are few among other things. The latest adaptation is the 3D film directed by Tim Burton and it stars the newcomer Mia Wasikowska as Alice, together with Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter, Anne Hathaway as The White Queen, Helena Bonham Carter as The Red Queen and Crispin Glover as The Knave of Hearts, Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat, Christopher Lee as the Jabberwock and many other.

The “new” Alice is said to be different from the rest of the Alice versions. Alice is on this movie is older, she is 19. The theme of the movie is darker and quite twisted than the original Disney version. It may not be gruesome as the American McGee video game "Alice" but will still not be as friendly as the cartoon version. They also used a combined live action and 3D animation technique. So it is expected to have awesome and flawless animation and effects.

Alice in Wonderland in 3D is set to be released on theaters on March 5, 2010. To get the best of the 3D animation it would best to watch it on IMAX but you may also watch Alice in Wonderland Online or on the regular theaters.
