YES MAN Movie Review

"One word can change everything."
Oh man, yes man! Ace Ventura a.k.a Bruce Almighty who is also known as Jim Carrey is back once again to tickle our funny bones with his witty and funny antics. This time Jim Carrey is Carl Allen, a guy whose life is known to have to direction whatsoever. Carl Allen’s favorite word is “No”, he said “No” to almost everything until he signs up for a self-help program that stands on the principle “Say YES to everything and anything.” And that was the beginning of the renewed Carl Allen “YES” life. His “yes” life transformed him amazingly and in unexpected ways, he was promoted at work and his love life started to bloom. But his willingness to embrace every opportunity might just become too much of a good thing.

Yes Man is Wallace's second solo book, it was published in July 2005. On this book the author describes how he spent six months saying Yes where once would have said No, to make his life more interesting and positive. In this book he shows the tribulations and mischief that he got up to while he said yes to any question or proposal.

I’ve read the book and I absolutely believe that Jim Carrey is the perfect man for the character. This story is worth every penny and laugh that you’ll going to elicit on this movie. Yes Man is directed by Peyton Reed who is also the director of the movie Bring It On. Yes Man stars Jim Carrey as Carl Allen, Zooey Deschanel as Renee Allison, Sasha Alexander as Lucy and many more.

Hannah Montana The Movie

Our favorite girl Miley Stewart a.k.a Hannah Montana is going to conquer the big screen. The Hannah Montana the Movie is coming on her way. After the successful TV series aired on Disney Channel, our girl who got the best of both worlds is expanding her territory. She’s invading the big screen!

Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus), a transferee from Tennessee to Malibu, seems like an ordinary 14-year-old girl but Miley has a big secret only known by her dad (who also her manager), her cute but weird brother Jackson, and her two bestfriends Lilly Truscott and Oliver Oken. Her huge secret? She led double life as the famous teenage pop sensation Hannah Montana together with her friend Lilly who has also a double life as Lola.

Teens, tweens and teen-at-heart had been waiting for these for so long. Hannah Montana is a big hit in TV and in record bars it has its own magazine and paperback novels and now is the time perfect time hit the big screen. How marvelefic it would be to see Hannah Montana rockin’ and dancin’ on the cinema’s big screen where you could have amazing video and audio quality.

According to some rumors on the web, the plot of the story of Hannah Montana the Movie would be the return of Miley Stewart to Tennessee where she will be vacationing together with her family and friends. During this vacation she will meet Travis and she would fall in-love with him and thus the movie will flow on that theme. For sure, there will be new cool soundtrack for the movie which some of it are actually released. I’m so very excited about the movie that I cannot seem to wait May 1 to watch the Hannah Montana the Movie.

Australia Movie Review

Spectacular scenery, ravaging war, heartrending love story played by award winning actors/actress and directed by internationally-acclaimed director Baz Luhrmann. Welcome to Australia (the movie)!

Australia, the much-anticipated romantic action-adventure movie starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, it brings a touch of Hollywood to an often forgotten episode in Australia’s history. Australia for a real retro feel, like movies from 40’s and 50’s. The cinematic is really great you should not miss this if you are looking for great cinematic value in a movie. It tells the rich but short history of Australia as nation telling it with a timeless tale of love and hardship like only the Aussie outback can bring.
If you are looking for a hard-pack action movie or a giggle fun type of love story, the storyline of Australia will bore you to death. It is quite a tear-jerking movie with lots of history on the background.

Official Plot Synopsis:
A romantic action-adventure set in northern Australia prior to World War II, Australia centers on an English aristocrat (Nicole Kidman) who inherits a ranch the size of Maryland. When English cattle barons plot to take her land, she reluctantly joins forces with a rough-hewn cattle driver (Hugh Jackman) to drive 2000 head of cattle across hundreds of miles of the country’s most unforgiving land, only to still face the bombing of Darwin, Australia by the Japanese forces that had attacked Pearl Harbor only months earlier. With his new film, Luhrmann is painting on a vast canvas, creating a cinematic experience that brings together romance, drama, adventure and spectacle.

As a fan of epic movies and brilliant cinematography, the trailer of the movies looks really good for me. Adding history to the beautiful love story and great scenes makes it even more appealing to me. I guess this movie is worthy of a great bunch of popcorns and movie time.

Cast (Lead stars only):

Hugh Jackman ... The Drover
Nicole Kidman ... Lady Sarah Ashley
David Wenham ... Neil Fletcher
Bryan Brown ... King Carney
Jack Thompson ... Kipling Flynn

Transporter 3 Movie Review

"The boss said your man for the job."

The Transporter is back! The good guy, bad guy Frank Martin is back in the third installment of the The Transporter chronicle. This film will continue the story of Frank Martin, a professional "transporter" who has relocated to Paris to continue his low-key business of delivering packages without questions. This time Frank Martin, still played by the sexy Jason Statham, was hired by a criminal mastermind Tarconi (played by Francois Berland) to go on a mission to deliver a “package”. Frank agree to do the job, or shall we say “mission” according to Tarconi, with one condition, he’ll going to use his Audi A8 car. From what I’ve seen from the trailer, Frank awakens to find a device (probably a bomb) around his wrist which is programmed to explode, if he steps more than 75 feet away from his vehicle. With Frank Martin now electronically rigged, he must complete his so-called mission or die.

The Transporter 3, promised an action-packed adventure just like what we saw in the previous two Transporter saga, maybe be even more. Rumors say that there will be more sexy scenes between Jason Statham and his leading lady Natalya Rudakova who played the role of Valentina. The official trailer release by Lionsgate speaks pretty well about the movie. The plot of the story is really quite intriguing and it has a lot cool movie lines. And what I love is the Jason Statham half-naked scenes… ;-)

The Transporter 3 is to be shown on major theaters world wide on November 26, 2008.

High School Musical 3 Movie Review

It is undeniable that the High School Musical 3 (HSM3) was a hit especially to the teens and to the teens at heart. It captured the taste of the younger generation. High School Musical 3 is the third installment of the High School Musical blockbuster of the Disney Channel Original movie. I’m not really surprise when Disney decided to deliver it on big screen (movie) rather than on TV, which the previous two installment where shown. The High School Musical 1 and High School Musical 2 were both big hit on TV, although I’m less enthusiastic about HSM2.

In comparison to the previous installment (HSM1 and HSM2), High School Musical 3 were much better, especially in contrast to HSM2 which am I really disappointed. HSM3 has better storyline and better music. Most of the tweens and teens could really relate to the story, I guess they could easily find themselves among the characters.

It is a feel good movie that let’s you forget the weariness of the world for a while. It works perfectly for easily entertained kids; parents will have to be satisfied with simplistic-but-squeaky clean entertainment for the family. It's filled with singing and dancing, and it is a lot of fun.
